Manage team members

Invite people to a CosmicAC team, change their roles, and suspend, reactivate, or remove members.

Invite people to your team and control what they can do. Manage members in Settings > Members. The Members page always shows the members and pending invitations of your active team.

Prerequisites

You need the following before you start:

The team lead role or the platform administrator role in the team that you want to manage. See Teams and roles.
The team that you want to manage as your active team. See Switch your active team.

Open the member list

In the sidebar, click Settings.
Click Members.

The Members page lists the members of your active team and its pending invitations.

Invite a member

On the Members page, click Invite member.
Enter the person's email address.
In the Role list, select Team lead, Member, or Viewer. The default role is Member.
Click Send invite.

CosmicAC emails the person an invitation link that expires after 7 days. When the invitation expires, it no longer appears in the member list, and you can send a new one.

You can't send an invitation to an email address that already has a pending invitation to the team or that already belongs to a team member. You can't resend or cancel a pending invitation.

Change a member's role

In the member's row, in the Role list, select a new role.
If a dialog opens, click Make team lead or Change role.

You can't change your role or the role of a pending invitation.

Suspend or reactivate a member

To remove a member's access to the team but keep their role, suspend them.

In the member's row, click Suspend.
In the Suspend member dialog, click Suspend member.

The member loses access to the team immediately and keeps their role.

To restore access, in the member's row, click Reactivate. The member regains access immediately.

Remove a member

If you might restore the person's access later, suspend them instead.

In the member's row, click Remove.
In the Remove member dialog, click Remove member.

The person loses access to the team immediately and needs a new invitation to rejoin. Removing someone from a team doesn't change their CosmicAC account or their memberships in other teams.

Team lead requirement

Every team must have at least one active team lead. You can't suspend, demote, or remove the last active team lead. To do any of these, make another member a team lead first.
